Finding Treasure

What would you do if you found a box of diamonds and rubies?
你如果找到一盒裡面有鑽石或是紅寶石之類的珠寶，你會怎麼做呢？

In English we call these stones "gems". They are very expensive.
在英文裡面，這種石頭叫做gems，價值很高。

A mountain climber in France found a box of gems on a mountain. The climber
could have kept them and not told anyone, but this man was honest.
有一位法國的登山客在山上發現了珠寶盒。他可以留下來，不告訴別人。但他很誠實。

He went to the police and said, "Hi… uh… I found a box of gems on the
mountain."

The police tried to find out who lost the gems on the mountain. Finally,
after a long search, the police say they think the box came from an airplane
that crashed in the mountains more than 50 years ago!
但是他把盒子送到警察局，警察調查了很久，才知道它來自五十年前墜毀在山上的一架飛機。

Nobody knows who the gems belong to… so in the end, the police gave the
climber half of them, and the government took the other half. Half of the
gems are worth about 4 million NT dollars. That's a lot of money!
沒人知道珠寶盒是誰的，所以法國政府保留一半，一半給了登山客，相當於四百萬台幣。

2. Treasure 寶物。

3. Worth 價值。
Then it's not worth much. 那它就不值什麼錢了。

It's worth a lot to me. 它對我很有價值。

4. Honest 誠實的。
So what's inside the box? 所以盒子裡是什麼呢？
